Bubbles, bubbles and more bubbles......

We have been having beautiful weather here this week. It has been in the 70's. Jocelyn and I decided to go outside and enjoy the evening. Jocelyn loves "bubbas" and every time she sees the container she says "bubbas". We went out on our front "porch" (really a cement slab but who's gonna tell). As you can see we had a blast.

I think I will use the pink wand mama.

Is this how you do it mama? Good Job Jocelyn !!

I am trying real hard mama.

Oh boy. I did it!

How pretty. The bubbles are different colors.

I have the hang of this and look at that big bubble I blew.

I just love BUBBAS.
Jocelyn has taught me that laughter is the best medicine and the more you use the better you feel. Thank you Jocelyn for that wonderful lesson that you may need to remind me of again from time to time.

Alot can happen in a week...

What a crazy week we have had at our house! On Saturday May 9th, Jocelyn woke up with a slight fever around 101. As the day progressed her temperature kept climbing. I was giving her Tylenol, letting her drink as much as she wanted and gave her a lukewarm bath. Nothing seemed to keep the fever down for very long. When I took her temp at 8 pm it was 105.5. I immediately got her dressed and took her to the emergency room. When we got there her temp had gone down to 103.5. They took a chest x ray (actually 2 as she moved on the first one) She had the beginnings of PNEUMONIA. I couldn't believe it. She had no symptoms until Saturday and only a slight cough. They put her on Amoxicillin and I stayed home with her on Monday as the fever was still 103 when I put her to bed on Sunday. Fast forward to this past Saturday the 16th. When I was getting her dressed for the day I noticed 3 red spots on her chest and she was running a slight fever again. I was afraid that she may have the chicken pox. When I gave her her bath that night I noticed 2 more spots. So I called the nurse line and they said that she could have a reaction to the amoxicillin but to watch her. We stayed home from church and the fever broke and the spots went away. They never did raise or fester so now I will have to tell the doctors that she is allergic to amoxicillin. Didn't I tell you that alot could happen in a week?

These pictures were taken this past Sunday on our deck. Jocelyn was fascinated by the squirrel and kept pointing to it and jumping up and down.

This past Thursday (one of the few days this week Jocelyn was feeling good) Jocelyn and I both got our hair cut. I had the back evened out and the hair trimmed over her ears. She was so good. She just sat there and let the lady cut her hair. I was so proud !!!

I may be able to use barrette's soon. Maybe even a bow?? I know patience is a virtue.
Hope everyone had a better week than we did. We are going to have a better week this week.

Ponytails and Swan Lake???

This is my best attempt to get Jocelyn's hair into ponytails. How did I do? I think that I will let her hair grow some more before I attempt again. You can't blame me for trying can you?

Below is an oragami swan that Jocelyn's Uncle Phil made for her. If you can believe there are over 300 pieces of folded paper that make the swan. I just love it and it is in Jocelyn's room as a decoration. Thank you Uncle Phil for the great swan and for everything else you and Aunt Betty do for Jocelyn.

The swan is sitting on the lake therefore I can say swan lake!

On a side note Jocelyn peed in the potty all by herself tonight. She later had two accidents but we are making progress.
